The Nike Air Foamposite Pro

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro: The original, reborn

First introduced in 1996, the original Nike Air Foamposite was built for performance—to endure pounding on the basketball court—and emerged with a personality: one of perseverance, unprecedented innovation and originality. Today, the stitch-free design and sleek, translucent sole makes it as popular as it was back then.

Benefits
Synthetic upper with mesh at tongue and heel for breathability
Air-Sole unit at heel for lightweight cushioning
Stitch-free design for comfort
Translucent rubber outsole with modified herringbone pattern for traction and durability

Design
The Nike Air Foamposite Pro Men's Shoe relives the glory days with a big Swoosh that pops and a snug fit that keeps the foot locked down. A landmark design, it features the same stitch-free construction and comfortable cushioning as the original.

Cushioning
An Air-Sole unit delivers lightweight, versatile and durable cushioning while you're shooting hoops, walking or hanging at home. The pressurized air compresses to reduce the force of impact and then immediately recovers to its original shape and volume, ready to take on the next move.

Origins
Nike broke all the rules of traditional shoe creation when it built the first Nike Air Foamposite, an innovative design with an upper and sole made of the same synthetic material and absolutely no stitching—a feat that some deemed impossible. Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway immediately adopted the shoe when he caught a glimpse of it while working with Nike designers. After Penny's endorsement, it wasn't long before college players jumped on the bandwagon. The Nike Air Foamposite became the most unique shoe on the hardwood in 1997.
